More InformationThe District Awards Program Manager coordinates the receipt, research, writing, voting and submission to DIRAUX for all personal and unit awards in the District. Works with the District awards team to research and draft the award citations, the Commodore, Chief of Staff and District Captains to ensure the proper level of award is presented and ensures award nomination packages are tracked through the process. Is a non-voting member of the District Awards board.
The Awards Program Manager is not required to draft or research all awards, only to manage the team and help where needed.
Desirable qualities: prior Auxiliary or military award writing experience, knowledge of COMDTINST M16790.1G (annotated) Auxiliary Manual chapter 11 and COMDTINST M1650.25E Coast Guard Military Medals and Awards Manual.
If selected the Chief of Staff will work with you to ensure you have all the tools you need to be successful.
